UiPath platform upgrade activities (on-premises)
UiPath applications are constantly updated with new features, and it is recommended to upgrade to the latest version of the UiPath platform to ensure new UiPath capabilities and features are available to the UiPath development and user communities within the enterprise. The upgrade scenarios are only applicable for on-premises installations of UiPath products. UiPath issues Fast Track Support (FTS) – that is, x.4; for example, 2021.4 – and Long-Term Support (LTS) – that is, x.10; for example, 2021.10. As the name suggests, mainstream support for FTS is just for 6 months, but for LTS, it is for 24 months.
The FTS version is usually used for evaluation purposes and for performing a pilot study of the new features, as well as for enterprises to upgrade to the LTS version of UiPath products.
