Working with Effects Plugins to Craft a Mix

Effects plugins are audio processing tools that allow you to modify the sound of an individual track or the overall mix. In this chapter, we’ll take a tour of Studio One’s bundled plugins (also known as stock plugins) to get you started with using them. As of writing, the Pro version of Studio One comes bundled with more than 40 plugins, so we will not be able to cover each and every one of them in detail; instead, we’ll focus on the ones that you are most likely to use, and a few that merit special mention for their highly innovative features.
