What’s Slackbot?
Do you remember Microsoft Office Assistant’s infamous paperclip friend Clippy? Slackbot is Slack’s very own version of Clippy – only more. Slackbot is your full-time friend, helper, and assistant all in one. Any type of member and guest alike (on any paid or free plan) can utilize the benefits of Slackbot to set reminders, automated messages, responses, and tasks in direct messages, channels, or both across your Slack workspace. Yes, that’s a lot. Let’s break it down. Once you activate your account, Slackbot will introduce itself to you in a private direct message:
