The project management team
The PMO or project management team is a group of experts in an organization governing the project management activities such as methodology selection, and defining templates to be used and artifacts to be produced during the project so that the project deliverables can be defined. They help in the awareness, training, and adaptation of any new methodologies or changes to the existing methodology. They play a crucial role in the success and closure of a project. By definition, a project is a set composed of activities that will deliver a service or product, or an outcome after a set defined timeframe. Based on the nature of the business and the project history, the PMO decides which project management methodology will work best for an organization.
