Studying the Lay of the Land
In the previous chapter, we saw how a Solution Architect (SA) has responsibilities in the realm of projects and has to contribute to other account-level activities. This chapter will talk about how an SA prepares to adapt to the client’s ecosystem by studying the client’s corporate architecture. They need this to understand the lay of the land. Getting familiar with the type of shared services, departments, and business units will help an SA to incorporate them into the solution design. By nature, SAs are techno-functional. They need to know what policies and procedures they can inherit from the client’s ecosystem so that there is a seamless integration of RPA services in the existing ecosystem.
