The four key roles are typically found as part of the Board of Directors (BoD), along with the chairperson, non-executive directors, and other directors appointed by the shareholders. These roles are often misunderstood in terms of their scope and responsibility, and it’s important to have an appreciation for the backdrop of Spark4Life Ltd, a fictitious company that is trying to transform itself, given the direction it has over the next few years and its commitment to its shareholders.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Abhinav Haviland is the CEO of Spark4Life Ltd. He has been with the company since 2018 and has weathered the storm of COVID-19, where he saw a decline in the sales of white goods but an increase in personal products. The company’s share price had started to recover to the pre-pandemic levels but another decline in profitability is around the corner due to the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine in Europe.
