Getting support
What happens when you are stuck and have already searched the forums, have tried Googling, and still you haven't found a solution to your problem? That's when you can use the community to get interactive support. There are two common means of interactive support, the forums and IRC (Internet Relay Chat).
Before we discuss forums and IRC, the following is a list of guidelines one must always remember in order to get helpful replies:
Before asking, thoroughly check to see if what you are asking has already been answered in the forums.
Don't ask to ask. That is, do not ask questions like "Can I post a question?"
Be specific with your questions. Always make sure that when you are asking a question, you explain the following:
What you tried
What result you expected
What result you saw instead
Know your terminology. It is easier to be precise when you know the correct terminology to use when asking your question.
Be patient! Sometimes it may take a while before someone notices your questions...
