What is an IDP?

An IDP (https://internaldeveloperplatform.org/) is all about how to best equip your mobile development team with the tools and resources they need to work efficiently and effectively.

In my opinion, as depicted in the following screenshot, an IDP is a subset of DX, which is a collection of tools and technologies that binds DX together. IDPs enhance developer productivity, improve DX, reduce manual operations, lower costs, and lower maintenance overhead for teams. They enable developer self-service while keeping the cognitive load low:

As we discussed in the first chapter, Mobile DevOps is a set of practices that enables organizations to build, test, release, and monitor mobile applications in a secure and cost-effective way.
