Summary

In this chapter, we have taken a look at gaze and gestures, the two most important ways of communicating with HoloLens apps. We examined what a NUI is and where it came from. We started developing in DirectX and have taken a look at the different parts we need to tell the GPU to draw those images on the screen. That also included shaders and the way we break down images into triangles. After that, we moved to Unity3D and gave our users the power to place objects everywhere around them, using nothing else besides gaze and gestures.
