In this chapter, we went over several command-line options for Wireshark. We discussed running Wireshark from the command line and some of the arguments that are available with it. We also discussed running tshark, which is the command-line version of Wireshark, running tcpdump, which is a generic dumping utility that's available on many Linux and Unix systems, as well as running dumpcap, which is another alternative for tshark and Wireshark.
In Chapter 11, A Troubleshooting Scenario, we'll dive into an issue with the user trying to connect to an FTP server.
