Network-Attached Storage (NAS) is storage attached to your network in various forms, such as Windows SMB, CIFS, NFS, and FreeNAS, and provides a location for users to store data. A NAS can be set up in many different ways and allows faster data access, easier administration, and simple configuration over general-purpose file servers.
