Local travel
We will define local travel as any travel of a drivable distance. Sometimes, depending on personal preferences, you may consider other options. For example, you can drive to Boston from New York, or you might decide to take an Amtrak train instead. There have been plenty of trips in which I needed a few hours of dedicated time to focus on creating a technical document and being on the train allowed me to do this. I was able to get to my destination and also complete the document, which I would not have been able to do while driving. Understanding your travel options, as well as which one is the best given your situation, is a skill you will develop over time. However, knowing all your options and being realistic about each one is important.
