In eLearning courses, some objects are critical for learning, while others are less important, and may simply be decorative. Less important objects can take up a lot of space on smaller devices and distract from the critical objects. Also, objects can be less useful for learners if they become too small. For example, a map of a company property is helpful when it's large, but it's unreadable when viewed on smaller devices. If this happens, you can mark less important content as Optional. This will show all the objects on larger screens, but as the screen sizes get smaller, the optional objects will disappear to make more space for the critical objects.
Let's first look at the workflow for marking objects in a Fluid Box as Optional:
- In the FluidBoxes.cptx file, go to Slide 11. A Fluid Box and some images are already added to this slide.
- Select one of the images on the slide.
- Go to the Properties inspector and select Optional...
