Chapter 3. Understanding Portal Basics and Theming
In the previous chapter, you saw how to install Liferay Portal on various application servers including the default bundle with Tomcat, Glassfish, JBoss, WebSphere, and so on. If you have followed the instructions mentioned in the previous chapter, you should have the Liferay instance ready by now.
In this chapter, you will understand the basic concepts of the portal. Once the portal is installed, you may want to configure the portal to fit in your environment and satisfy your requirements. This can be performed using Liferay's UI, which may include page-level settings or admin panel settings.
