Understanding what a malware does and the behavior it exhibits is essential to understanding the nature and purpose of the malicious binary. In the last few chapters, you learned the skills and tools necessary to perform malware analysis. In this chapter and the next few chapters, we will mainly focus on understanding different malware behaviors, their characteristics, and their capabilities.
