Leveraging architecture for AI and ML
AI is a key enabler for value creation in smart manufacturing. AI is positioned to help transform rigid, static, and pre-defined processes into data-driven, demand-flexible, and dynamically adaptable processes. AI can also help create and transform products, services, business models, and processes by bringing high adaptability and computational ability in real time.
The ISO/IEC 2382 defines AI as a branch of computational science dedicated to the development of data processing systems that perform functions generally associated with human intelligence, such as logical reasoning, learning, and self-improvement. While it is not intended to copy human behavior, it is meant to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of industrial processes.
