Perception of AI in video games

It's all a matter of perception, right? But when it comes to artificial intelligence—and AI in games, in particular—perception can make all the difference between winning and losing. In other words, how an AI character is able to perceive a player during gameplay can create a range of different experiences, thus creating environments full of tension and suspense while you turn every corner with slow, tentative footsteps.
