Part 4: Extending Infrastructure Projects beyond Civil 3D

It’s a much bigger design world out there than just Civil 3D. Many projects require multidisciplined coordination and collaboration with other design teams, and we’ll need to ensure that all models being developed align with each other in the real world. Stakeholder engagement is also a key component of coordinating designs to ensure that increased approval and buy-in is received as early as possible to limit rework/redesign later on down the road. This is where we will add another element to our model management career and learn what it means to have a well-coordinated design.
