Technical requirements

There are a couple of things you need to go through the examples provided in this chapter:

• Power BI Desktop:

As this book revolves around Power BI, we expect you to have Power BI Desktop installed on your system. You can install Power BI from the Microsoft Store or find more advanced download options here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494.

• A Cognitive Services resource:

Cognitive Services provides resources through Azure. To create a resource, you need to have access to an Azure subscription. If you don't have one yet, you can sign up for a free subscription here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/.

If you don't have a Cognitive Services resource, you can create one using your Azure subscription. For instructions on how to do so, go to Chapter 7, Using Cognitive Services.
