The temptation at this stage is to sit back and wait for your app to hit the top position in the best-selling apps. This never happens. You can do some things to boost your app, as shown:

  • Improve it: To make sure that our app achieves its full potential, we need to continuously improve it by squashing bugs, making it run smoother, and making it easier/more intuitive to use.
  • Promote it: This could be the subject of another book, but there are so many ways in which we can spread the word about our app. We can create a page/profile on all social media sites, for example, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and the rest. Add regular updates and announcements. We can create a website to promote our app and promote it in all the ways we would promote any other website. We can add a message in the app itself, asking players to rate it. Perhaps, pop up a message just after they have successfully used a key feature. We can ask everyone we know and everyone who visits our social media/website to rate...
