In this chapter, we saw how to extend AMP beyond what it supports through its core and extended components. We saw that with amp-iframe we can include all kinds of functionality. We focused on maps, comment systems, and checkout and payment functionality in this chapter since these are features common in e-commerce and news and blog type sites. Significantly, together with the HTML5 Payment Request API and amp-iframe we were able to complete our e-commerce prototype. However, amp-iframe is by no means limited to these features. You're only limited here by your imagination!
In the next chapter, we'll turn our attention towards analytics and ad support in AMP, two important topics that can help measure the performance of a site, as well as provide a monetization model, respectively.
