This chapter introduced lists using the UITableView and UITableViewController types. We looked at the two related protocols-UITableViewDataSource and UITableViewDelegate-and some of the most central methods defined in these protocols. We then looked at how to set up an interface that uses a table view and how we can populate lists using the UITableViewController. We added a navigation controller in order to set a title for our app and to have a place for adding a button to add items to our list. We also looked at how we can delete items from the list using swipe gestures.
