Summary

The Noise modifier has endless other uses – earthquakes, flickering lights, objects blowing in the wind – in a pinch they can even be used on the bones of a character to make them look more alive while they’re just standing there. After adding modifiers, even those keyframes can be deleted, and the F-curve will stick around (don’t do that, though). Personally, I enjoy procedural animation techniques that require little to no keying. However, keep in mind that modifiers don’t have to replace the regular animation process; they can also work in addition to whatever else we want the F-curves to do.

Sometimes it’s fun to let go, add hardly any keyframes, and let Blender procedurally...
