Connecting an EC2 Linux instance using SSH from PowerShell

In this recipe, we will look at how we can access an EC2 instance from a Linux machine using SSH.

Getting ready

Before you connect to the Linux instance, make sure that you complete the following steps:

  1. Ensure that the OpenSSH client is installed on your computer. By default, most Linux distribution include an SSH client.
  2. Launch PowerShell and load the AWS PowerShell Core module.
  3. Get the launch information from the AWS Service Portal.
