Summary
In this chapter, you learned the concept of ANN. You also learned that one of its uses within the field of object recognition is the implementation of MLP, including the advantages and disadvantages of MLP against other machine learning strategies, such as SVM. Regarding ANN-MLP, you learned which layers form its structure and how to define and implement them to build an image classifier and then learned how to evaluate an MLP, training its robustness and accuracy. And in the last section, we implemented an example of an MLP to detect an object in an unknown image.
