The CDS is not just a data store for your apps to read and write data. The CDS has a comprehensive set of security features that you can employ in your Power Platform system.
This section will describe the various features so that you can decide which feature(s) map to your security requirements. As shown in the following diagram, the CDS has a set of complementary security features that control access to data, features, and apps:
