A key component of the Power Platform is the capability to create low-code/no-code workflows. Power Automate flows are workflows that automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes both within and across systems.
You can use Power Automate for the following:
- Personal productivity
- Sending notifications
- Handling approvals
- Gathering data
- Automating processes
- Integrating systems
- Orchestration across systems

Power Automate has been formulated so that you do not need to be a developer to create flows; no code is required. The techniques needed to build an app are inherited from building visual designs in Visio and the use of functions in Excel.
Now that you know what a Power Automate flow is used for, let's look at how to create one.
