As Power Automate and Common Data Service have evolved, several different connectors have been created for accessing Common Data Service. The connectors have similar capabilities, but you need to know which one to use in different circumstances.
There are three connectors that can access Common Data Service:
- Dynamics 365
- Common Data Service
- Common Data Service (current environment)
With the Common Data Service connector, you will need to provide the environment and entity, whereas Common Data Service (current environment) uses the same environment the flow is in, and you only need to provide the entity. The Common Data Service (current environment) connector is only available when creating flows from within a solution.
