Managing audit security

Access to the auditing features is controlled by security. Typically, users will not have access to audit data and will not be aware of data changes being logged in auditing.

There are four privileges in security roles related to auditing:

  • View Audit History: View the audit history within an entity form.
  • View Audit Summary: View the audit summary page.
  • View Audit Partitions: View the audit logs.
  • Delete Audit Partitions: Delete the audit logs. This capability should only be given to an administrator.

These privileges are at the bottom of the general tab in the security role, as shown in the following screenshot:

These privileges are either onor off. Users do not need any privileges to create audit records as auditing is performed by the system automatically.
