Corporate BI and IT teams familiar with project lifecycles, source control systems, and managing development, testing, and production environments should look to apply these processes to Power BI deployments as well. Power BI Desktop does not interface with standard source control systems such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), but PBIX files can be stored in OneDrive for business to provide visibility of version history, restore capabilities, and group access. In the Power BI Service, separate development, test, and production App Workspaces and their corresponding apps can be created to support a staged deployment.
