Managing Office 365 users

Most of the work you'll do with Office 365 users will be in the Users | Active users section. There are other sections under Users: Contacts, Deleted users, and Guest users. But we'll skip those for now. They will be covered later, in other sections.

Here's what the Active users page looks like:

Across the top of the page, we have the Add a user button, the More button, a drop-down that lets you choose from one of several out-of-the-box or custom views, and the user search box:

  • The Add a user button is the primary way to onboard users. We'll talk about that process in more detail in just a bit.
  • The More button lets you import bulk users. This is also where you would go to configure two-factor authentication or directory synchronization (Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) or AD Connect). It also lets you...
