Java User Groups also referred to as JUGs, are comprised of community-minded Java professionals with an aim to share their Java knowledge. There are over 200 JUGs and participation is voluntary. Like other professional user groups, JUGs offer the following opportunities:
- Networking with fellow Java professionals
- Sharing tips, techniques, and resources
- Learning from others
- Increasing your knowledge of Java
JUGs have global reach. Some of them are organized by country and others by cities. As you explore the JUGs in your geographic region, you might find that they have periodic in-person meet-ups.
