Importing data into a GeoPackage

Let's see how we can import data into a GeoPackage. We will see how we can import a vector file and layers from the map canvas in this section.

Importing a vector file

Make sure that you've made a connection to the GeoPackage that you want to load data into (see the Connecting to a GeoPackage section). 

QGIS can consume a lot of file types in a GeoPackage, beyond those of just SHP, TAB, or KML. Irrespective of the supported file type that you want to import, the process is the same:

1. Click on Database | DBManager and expand the GeoPackage section so that you can see the new_sites GeoPackage.
2. Click on the GeoPackage so that it is highlighted (in blue).
3. Click on the Import Layer...
