The API Management REST API

The API Management service (like all services exposed by Azure) provides you with a set of APIs that allow you to do all the operations you can perform using the Azure portal.

You can use them when you are unable to use the web interface provided by the portal (for example, to automate product creation or generate periodical reports).

The base URL you can use to invoke the REST API for API Management has the following format:

https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/{subscriptionId}/resourceGroups/{resourceGroupName}/providers/Microsoft.ApiManagement/service/{serviceName}/

Here, the following applies:

• subscriptionId: This is the subscription ID of your Azure subscription. You can find it in the Overview option inside the API Management blade.
• resourceGroupName: This is the name of the resource group containing your API Management instance.
