In this section, you will learn how to enable accessibility for Captivate courses, at the project level, by following these steps:
- Open the Chapter13/takeTheTrain.cptx file.
- Open the Preferences dialog by using the Edit | Preferences (Windows) menu item or the Adobe Captivate | Preferences (Mac) menu item.
- In the Preferences dialog, navigate to the Publish Settings category under the Project section.
- In this section, make sure the Enable Accessibility option is selected.
This will ensure that the screen readers are able to read the slides and the objects in your course. If this option is not selected, the accessibility options that you set throughout the project will be useless.
- Below the Enable Accessibility option is the Restrict keyboard tabbing to slide items only option. Select this option as well.
