Checking mailing lists and errata pages

Outside of our systems, we will take a look at where you go for news on how your operating systems are performing, in general. Are they healthy? Do they need some space? Are they going to implode pretty soon?

It's good practice to get into this habit, because occasionally, system and behavioral changes may require manual intervention on the part of the sysadmin, even if you automate all of your other problems away.
