Brief comparison of virtualization options (VMware, proxmox, and more)

When it comes to virtualization, everyone has their favorite solution.

You should know about two options by now, those being VirtualBox (which we've been using throughout this book) and QEMU/KVM. However, these aren't the only options available to you, should you want to run virtual machines on your server, just as containers aren't limited to Docker.

Here, we're going to run through a few other options, most of which you'll probably come across in your career at some point:

• Proxmox
• OpenStack
