Adding an NSG to a subnet

Let's now learn how we can add an NSG to a subnet. To do so, go through the following steps:

  1. Go to your VNet and click on the Subnets blade. You should be able to see the subnet that you have just created:

  1. When you click on it, you will see its current configuration. From this screen, you can either change the address range or add a service endpoint; however, we are interested in one particular feature here: the Network Security Group section. When you click on it, you will be able to select an existing NSG. Because there are currently none available, we have to create one:

  1. To add an NSG to the Azure portal, you have to go to the marketplace and search for network security group:
