Time for action – installing a LaTeX package


The pretty new biblatex package is often not yet installed. So, let's catch up on it!

  1. Go to the Start menu and look for the TeX Live Manager:

  2. Launch the TeX Live Manager with a mouse click:

    If you installed TeX Live on Linux or without a Start menu group, you may start the TeX Live Manager at the command prompt. The name of the executable file is tlmgr. So, type tlmgr –help to get a summary of the available options and actions.

  3. In the menu, click on tlmgr and then Load default net repository to get the most recent repository. The status bar at the bottom will inform you about the success.

  4. Choose the package you desire! Perhaps filter the Status to make it easier. Then click on Install. Done!
