Summary

While you didn't do any coding in this chapter, you learned quite a lot of technical terms that will help you navigate the technologies you are going to work on in the next few chapters. First, you learned how to divide the backend into a three-tier architecture for Web Services. Next, you learned the nuts and bolts of HTTP protocols. Then, you were introduced to two design patterns for cloud frontend: BFFand API Gateway. After that, you learned some key design principles for microservice-oriented architectures.
