We will have a look at the primary services that Azure provides.
Compute
I am now going to explain the different services in the Compute category offered by Azure:
- Virtual machines: Helps you to provide Linux and Windows virtual machines instantly
- Functions: Builds your code and submits it to Azure to let it run as serverless code
- Linux virtual machines: Virtual machines on cloud providing Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentoOS variants
- SAP HANA on Azure large instances: Deploys SAP HANA workload at a great scale
- Windows virtual machine: Virtual machines on cloud providing Windows, SQL Server, SharePoint, and so on
Networking
I am now going to explain the different services in the Networking category offered by Azure:
- Content delivery network: Makes sure content is delivered efficiently and reliably
- Azure DNS: DNS service by Azure
- VPN Gateway: To establish secure and inter-premise connections
- Load balancer: Used to make an application highly available in the case of any network outage
