Template deployment

A template can be deployed to Azure in multiple ways, including the following:

• Manually using the Azure portal
• Using the Azure CLI
• Using Azure PowerShell

There are other mechanisms, such as Azure Cloud Shell, .NET code, and the REST API, through which ARM templates can be deployed.

Deployment using Azure portal

Deploying a template using portal is quite straight forward. Log into your Azure portal and create a new Resource groups by providing the name and location, and then selecting an appropriate Subscription:
