This brings us to the conclusion of this chapter. We discussed lots of advanced concepts and implementation in this chapter. These concepts related to deployments, copy objects, conditional statements, and complex expressions, and functions that help build real, reusable, modular, and maintainable templates.
In the next chapter, we will further focus on some of the scripting-related resources, especially the custom script extension that has the capability to execute PowerShell and Bash scripts on Linux and Windows. It will also show ways to define resources for consuming the desired state configuration scripts, for configuring environments.
