Creating a security group for instances in Public_Subnet

To create a security group for instances in your public subnet, follow these steps:

1. From within the EC2 console, select Security Group on the menu on the left and select the blue Create Security Group button.
2. Configure the security group as shown here:

3. We will leave the outbound rules as the default and select Create.

This security group allows your own IP address inbound SSH connectivity as well as allowing inbound HTTP traffic from the internet and all TCP communications from Private_Subnet.
