Enabling social sharing on your website


Word of mouth is a good way to attract new potential customers, so if you'd like to allow your website visitors to easily promote your website to their friends, you should turn on the Squarespace Share Buttons. The Share Button appears at the bottom of each blog post, as indicated in the following screenshot:

Clicking on the condensed button or link will open an overlay with links to popular social networks, as shown in the following screenshot:

If you'd like to encourage Pinterest users to pin images from your site, you can also enable a Pinterest Pin-It Button that will appear as a small icon whenever someone hovers over an image on your blog or web pages.

Tip

Social sharing is great for search engine optimization, so you should definitely make it as easy as possible for people to link to your website through their social accounts. The more links you have pointing to your site, the better.
